The Director of Analytics and Assistant Video Coordinator manages the review of statistics of an individual athlete or team to provide insights on the game and its players. Also, may involve investigating and interpreting information to contribute to the ongoing discussion about NCAA and Conference rules / regulations. This individual will provide a high level of support to a premier men’s basketball program by overseeing all analytics and assisting with video duties. This position is a critical component to the success of the men’s basketball program.
Essential Functions:
Facilitate men's basketball practice and competition film breakdown and analysis in collaboration with the coaching staff
Provide guidance and assistance to Head Coach using data-driven practices for scouting and recruiting
Identify opposing team player profiles and provide accurate scouting reports to the coaching staff
Utilization of advanced analytics to track and assist student-athlete development and help create personalized plans on the development of student-athletes
Collaborate with coaching staff to integrate video analysis into team and individual training strategies
Provides the coaching staff pre-and post-game notes with high-level analytical knowledge
Stay up to date with national video and analytical trends and tailor them to benefit assigned team
Prepares statistical reports relevant to the recruiting process of prospective student-athletes
Utilization of analytics for transfer portal projections which assist in overall roster management
Utilization of analytics for scheduling purposes and assist Special Assistant and Head Coach with compiling the schedule
Assist in managing practice and game film and film exchange requests
Assist with any day-to-day operations of basketball program
Assist with organizing on campus official and unofficial visits
Assist with team travel operations
Assist in all film exchange requests
Ensure compliance of NCAA, Conference rules, policies, and procedures
Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and assistant coaches
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree AND;
24 months of collegiate experience in assigned sport or closely related experience.
Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 72 months of related experience.
Department Preferences
At least two years experience in college basketball setting
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
Experience with Sports Code, Synergy, and other video software systems
Experience with other video analytical programs
Experience with using analytical tools to increased game, practice and recruiting performance.

Comprehensive knowledge of sports analytics or related sports administration in collegiate or professional level, or a combination of education and relevant experience
Strong time management and leadership skills
Excellent communication skills both oral and written
Extensive knowledge of NCAA, Conference rules, policies, and procedures
Knowledge and experience with technology applications applicable to the position
Stay up to date with national video and analytical trends and tailor them to benefit assigned team

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer or other office equipment
May have extensive travel via air, car, and bus
Must stand for long periods of time at games and practice
Frequent exposure to pressure caused by deadlines and busy periods
