Job Description Summary

We are seeking a qualified, safety-minded, detail oriented, highly organized individual with strong computer and communication skills to work as a Senior Cost Accountant. This position offers a diverse set of accounting related job responsibilities. The desired candidate will embrace a team concept when completing assigned tasks along with a strong commitment to perform high quality work, meet deadlines and finish assigned tasks while minimizing errors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure company compliance with all applicable SOX requirements

• Supports the Area Controller and Operations Management team's

• Able to Lead and Manage one to two people

• Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against established targets

• Preparing and present financial reports to Operations

• Perform weekly duties to include production, updating Quotes and tracking Liquid AC

• Executes the monthly closing procedures which include recording journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts and ensuring all entries are properly recorded

• Assist in establishing short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures

• Possess strong organizational, analytical and communication skills, and an ability to work under pressure handling multiple and shifting priorities

• Excellent computer skills including email, Internet, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

• Any other duties as assigned

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

• Working knowledge of Viewpoint Accounting System preferred

• Prior management of personnel a plus

• Strong system and analytical skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge

• The ability to interact with employees at every level of the organization

• Demonstrated ability to work within a team and drive success

• Strong work ethic and positive attitude

Work Requirements

• Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check

• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times

• Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required

• Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary

• Report to the office dressed appropriately and ready to begin work at the designated start time.

• Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook

• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
