Summary:

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will support and implement quality systems requirements in design, supply chain management, manufacturing, assembly & test as well as customers within assigned product lines.



Responsibilities

• will use strong problem-solving skills to perform Root Cause analysis and Corrective Actions to reduce COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) including non-conforming products, scrap, reworks and FPY (First Pass Yield).
• Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer will also perform quality tasks.
• non-conforming hardware disposition.
• Complete quality system audits.
• product evaluations.
• process monitoring.

• data analysis and lead/participate in various process improvement and Kaizen events.



Qualifications



• BS in Engineering with 7+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Operations, Production and/or Design Engineering
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Aerospace industry
• Knowledge of AS9100D standard requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• In depth knowledge of Quality Engineering processes and tools including; PPAP (Process flow, PFMEA, Control Plans, Process capability studies, GR&R), RCCA, APQP. SPC and AS9102 FAIR
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing concepts. Black Belt or Green Belt certifications preferred
• Strong customer service skills
• Experience in assembly, welding, machine shop and testing processes
• Experience in creating Work Instructions and Quality Control Plans
• Strong organizational, teamwork and decision-making skills
• Proficiency on Microsoft Office applications
