RESPONSIBILITIES:

A Kforce client in Houston, Texas (TX) is looking for a Desktop III/SCCM Analyst. This is an on-site position and is a contract role for one year with potential to extend longer. This candidate will report to the senior desktop engineer.

Duties Include:


  • Desktop III/SCCM Analyst will create technical guidance for end user consumption and documentation for administrative processes when required

  • Frequently generate asset reports from a variety of aggregated asset intelligence platforms and report formats

  • Additional responsibilities include routinely maintaining Windows server environments, resolving tier 3 desktop support issues, SCCM software packaging, PowerShell scripting where change implementations require custom or modified deployment techniques for endpoint configuration changes

  • As the Desktop III/SCCM Analyst, you will be required at times to configure and expand SCCM infrastructure while adapting to organizational expansion and developing business needs within domains of both on premise and cloud-based Microsoft technologies







REQUIREMENTS:



  • Expert literacy in programmatic formatting and object-oriented programming methodology

  • PowerShell

  • Able to consistently develop scripts which modify and create registry settings, files, security permissions of Windows user, file, folder objects, retrieve endpoint attributes, output attributes to file formats capable of being analyzed in reporting

  • Able to design scripts that can execute processes, calling Windows APIs, modifying user or system configuration attributes necessary to achieving the required outcome of assigned IT project objectives

  • Capable of identifying certificate validation conflicts by analyzing certificate attributes with reference to technical knowledge of PKI infrastructure concepts

  • Proficient in identifying and analyzing routing, DHCP and DNS configuration attributes relative to assigned work objectives

SCCM Administration:

  • BitLocker: Troubleshoot endpoint BitLocker conflicts relative to compliance status reports

  • Collection management: Create and modify SCCM collections using queries

  • Update patching: Push required patches for software applications and OS

  • WQL query creation: Utilize WQL and SCCM WMI objects to achieve identification of endpoints or users with regards to assigned IT project objectives

  • Cloud management gateway: Maintain and monitor CMG components for cloud infrastructure connectivity

  • Site System role management/implementation: Management points, distribution points, site servers, WSUS, PXE Boot

  • Application packaging: Capable of writing Custom installation detection methods using PowerShell, deploy scripted deployment methods either through use of PowerShell or Windows Batch Files

  • Proficiency with all SCCM client and server logs required to analyze network communication, content transfers, PXE boot activity, cloud connectivity and varying SCCM site system component installation statuses






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
