Job Summary


The Project Engineer (Energy Storage) will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing projects within engineering organization to ensure that projects are completed on time, scope, and budget. The Project Engineer works closely with engineering managers and project managers to translate project and or program level milestones/key deliverables into actionable engineering tasks.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor the assigned engineering projects.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned and progressing smoothly.
  • Align the assignment of resources according to the priorities set forth by the product line leader and provide impact scenarios to the leader when priority changes are proposed.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of project activities, including plans, designs, reports, and updates.
  • Ensure compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
  • Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and changes in scope.
  • Develop and execute action plans to address project risk and maintain delivery commitments.
  • Drive process improvements focused on reductions in project cycle times.

Requirements:
  • 4-year college/university degree a must, technical degree preferred.
  • Certified Project Manager a plus.
  • 3+ years' experience in New Product Introduction / Product Development/Project Management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and an experience with Smartsheet
  • Ability to support meetings and communication with globally dispersed teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to manage details from several diverse teams and keep the teams focused on task.
  • Ability to forecast completion dates and willingness to meet the dates.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills are a must.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must.
