kACE was created when FENICS Software, a leading provider of FX derivatives dealing and risk management solutions, acquired the specialist foreign exchange (FX), rates pricing and analytics firm Kalahari in late 2017.
The integrated brand has over 60 years' combined experience in delivering innovative, real-time pricing and analytics solutions to the global financial markets.
kACE operates out of four global offices in London, New York, Hong Kong, and Tokyo with development and technical deployment teams in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), and the Americas.
As a member of the kACE product development group, you will be part of a full-stack development team, implementing innovative and cutting-edge solutions designed to meet the needs of a rapidly changing market.
Role: Junior Java Developer
Responsibilities:
Work with Product Owner to ensure full understanding of the story requirements, within the context of the existing systems.
Produce and document technical designs and implement requirements according to designs.
Escalate technical design or specification issues to Scrum Master, Product Owner, and other Agile team members as soon as they arise.
Ensure that the deliverables meet all the specified acceptance criteria.
Design, document, implement, and execute all tests required to ensure product quality.
Analyze test results and log defects.
Ensure that the deliverables meet all specified acceptance criteria.
Adhere to the kACE coding standards and Scrum practices.
Actively participate in all Scrum ceremonies.
Set and own your development goals, providing regular status updates to the scrum master.
Participate in periodic release activities.
Support business critical applications during business and off-hours, if needed.
Requirements:
BS in computer science, math or related field.
Recent graduate up to 3 years of experience as a full-time developer.
Strong expertise in Java required. Other languages such as C++, Python are a plus.
Experience with Jenkins or other continuous integration software is a plus.
Must be energetic, self-motivated and possess excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Must be able to work within an established team and be willing to take direction.
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $ 90,000 to $ 105,000. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
