The Inbound Logistics Manager position is onsite, based in our Henderson, North Carolina location.

This position is responsible for planning, scheduling and monitoring all inbound materials. It directs the optimization/utilization of warehouse assets and storage. This position coordinates inbound material discrepancies with the National Office Supplier Quality Assurance team to ensure issues are quickly identified , communicated and resolved for all inbound receiving and production activities. Accountable for providing analytical support toward ensuring the integrity of inbound material and ensures compliance with Mars policies and procedures, proper governance, and other regulatory requirements.

What are we looking for?

Minimum:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or relevant field and/or 10+ years of relating experience

  • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and business management software

  • Strong internal and external customer focus with great follow-up

  • Understanding of material regulatory requirements

  • Proven leadership skills, coaching and developing leaders, and associates

  • 3+ years production experience

  • 3+ years experience in most facets of logistics, including inventory control

Preferred:


  • Master's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or relevant field

  • 2+ years Management experience

  • Business Management Software - SAP & Blue Yonder

  • Ability to drive positive change in both processes, systems, and culture

  • Thorough understanding of material regulatory requirements

  • 5+ years production experience

  • 5+ years experience in most facets of logistics, including inventory control

What will be your key responsibilities?


  • Lead and develop a team of 3-4 associates

  • Develops and maintains root-cause/corrective action procedures including trend analysis resulting in driving process improvements

  • Identify and recommend enhancements to improve product quality

  • Support Site Traceability, MQM, and HRCI compliance.

  • Meet or exceed performance targets (Inbound/Inventory Production Impacts, Period Cut-off Exceptions, and Supplier Claims).

  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure process adherence for software systems such as SAP and Red Prairie.

  • Negotiate and purchase items required to support inbound logistics activities including forklifts and miscellaneous warehouse packaging supplies (stretch wrap/labels/dunnage)

  • Direct the day to day activities of the inbound and product sampling teams to ensure they are following agreed procedures and meeting the needs of the business.

  • Support site audits related to inbound ingredients and testing protocols.
