Job Description:

Job Summary

Plan and prepare manufacturing production schedules and departmental workflows. Establish sequence and lead time of each production operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.

Responsibilities:


  • Analyze plant capacity and production requisition data to determine manufacturing processes and required resources. Prepare production and maintenance reports. This includes PM tracking and asset performance.


  • Create and maintain weekly production schedules for all lines. 


  • Adjust schedules as needed to react to material availability, open orders and inventory. Communicate changes as needed.


  • Expedite operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions; includes estimating.


  • Review material availability with Purchasing staff. Request quotes from vendors and create purchase requisitions for approval.


  • Assist in securing chemicals and components to support the production schedule generating new part numbers as needed.


  • Maintain inventory as required. This includes conducting physical inventory and updating records.


Required Experience:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.

Work Experience


  • At least 2 years experience in production scheduling with multiple lines.


  • Knowledge of Access and QAD


  • Knowledge of MRP System.


  • Knowledge of eMaint or CMMS software.


  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns)


  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font).


  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
