SUMMARY
Automate Calibration & Preventative Maintenance reports / Perform Calibrations / Design a fail safe system for EV chambers to protect specimens from thermal event / Automate EV chambers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create macros or other ways to automate Cal & PM reports from existing data and systems.
Training & performing calibrations of liquid flow, air flow, temperature, frequency, & duty cycle.
Design a fail safe system for EV chambers - research the hardware and software for application, program the software, test out the system for functionality, reliability, & ability to alert lab.
Program and automate F4T or other EV chamber controllers. Enhance network connection.
Fabricate harnesses or other items in order to implement automation or install hardware.
Learn Gantner data acquisition (DAQ) set-up and configuring for test stands/EV chambers.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be enrolled in a 4-year accredited University
Major: Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics
Class Standing: Sophomore or Junior
Skills: Completed coursework in basic electrical classes with some labs, familiarity with PLCs and programming them, computers, communication, & soldering experience
Prior internship experience is a plus
knowledge or experience with electrical tools & meters, PLCs, instrumentation, data acquisition, hand tools, and/or soldering is a plus
