Location:  Gainesville, VA - On-Site

Summary:

This position will be responsible for organizing, reporting, disposing-of, and maintaining of proper equipment inventory levels of both VSN’s equipment and any customer-owned equipment. This job is onsite, working in the Gainesville warehouse Monday through Friday, with one Saturday per quarter if needed to assist with inventory counts. Adherence to all safety measures and policies set by the company is essential. The person in this role will need to be organized, comfortable working with spreadsheets and numbers, and will need to regularly communicate inventory levels, issues, and concerns with the business. Additionally, this role will need to back-up the Warehouse coordinators with shipments and returns.

What You'll Do:



  • Inventory Control:


    • Organize and own the inventory lists of both VSN-owned and customer-owned equipment held at the Gainesville facility.

      • Maintain inventory level records, have a solid handle on capacity and work with leadership to manage those levels up or down.



    • Run the quarterly (or more frequently as needed) physical inventory counts process, assemble the teams, communicate to the business, and report the results to Finance.

    • Make inventory transfers/adjustments as part of the month-end and quarter-end closing process.

    • Manually record detailed equipment information (make, model, manufacturer number) in data bases as required for shipments coming-in or going-out of the warehouse.

    • Provide quality checks on any equipment shipping to the Gainesville facility, ensuring storage guidelines are followed.

    • Work with spreadsheet data, Microsoft D365, Great Plains, eBay, and UPS WorldShip to prepare monthly reporting.

    • Additional duties as assigned.




  • Warehouse Coordinator Support:

    • Provide 1st level escalation support for the Warehouse Coordinators in dealing with shipments (in-bound/out-bound) and the RTV (Return to Vendor) process.

    • Back-up support to the Warehouse Coordinators, stepping in to assist with the in-take and shipment of equipment as needed.

    • Provide quality control in the RTV debiting process of our service providers who fail to return product as requested.

      • Ensure all steps are followed and work with Finance to process the debits.



    • Operate the fork-lift jack to help remove pallets, and re-position inventory to fit properly into the shelving floor plan.

      • Help to keep aisles clear of debris to help promote a safe environment.



    • Special projects in support of the warehouse as assigned.



What You'll Need:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent 


    • Bachelor's Degree - Preferred




  • 3-Years Experience in Related Field:

    • Need to have experience working in a team setting and have some knowledge of inventory.




  • Database Management Experience:

    • Attention to detail. Ability to sort & manage large groupings of data with speed and accuracy.

    • Will need to be able to compile data for reporting.




  • Ability to Work Independently with Minimal Supervision:

    • Position must be able to know when to act independently and when to engage management.

    • Very fast paced environment, person must be able to multitask and once properly trained, utilize that training to work independently.




  • Excellent Organizational Skills:

    • Must be able to effectively manage a large number of projects.

    • Meeting all deadlines is critical to the success of this position.

    • Challenge of this position is to be able to handle a large volume of business on a daily basis and be able to multi-task.




  • Excellent Interpersonal/Communication Skills:

    • Must be able to communicate and effectively work with a wide variety of management levels.

    • Must be able to maintain both company and client confidential information.

    • Position demands someone with a level of integrity.




  • Strong Intermediate to Advanced Skills with MS Office Suite/Microsoft Excel


    • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics - Preferred

    • To effectively track, monitor, and analyze data, a thorough understanding of the MS Office suite is required.




  • Inventory Control Experience - Preferred:

    • Must have an understanding of how to conduct business at a professional level, familiar with spreadsheets and basic accounting principles.
