The RBT will work in the day program or residence of a person served and be actively engaged with the service
recipient at all times.
2. Ensure that all programs and activities as outlined in the service recipient's LSP, Person Centered Plan (PCP),
and Behavior Support Plan (BSP) are carried out for the benefit of the person served, across all environments.
3. Consistently implement all aspects and interventions of the individual's BSP.
4. Collect and submit behavior data (as outlined by the BCBA) on a daily basis, and/or as otherwise outlined in the
individual's BSP.
5. Collect skill acquisition data relating to the person served according to Agency policy.
6. Attend a 1:1 supervision meeting, on a monthly basis with the supervising BCBA (required to maintain RBT
credential).
7. Respond to all communication from the supervising BCBA in a timely manner (e.g., within 24 hours or less).
8. Accept and implement critical program and professional feedback from the supervising BCBA.
9. Uphold supervision appointments (i.e., client present and 1:1 with supervisor).
10. Teach and instruct people served to do as much as possible for themselves, per program plans, and to not
conduct personal business on work time (no personal cell phones, reading, TV watching, writing, etc.)
11. Maintain confidentiality of the person(s) served, as outlined in HIPAA and the RBT Ethics Code.
12. Communicate concerns related to the persons served and house operations needs to the BCBA, House Manager,
or Division Manager in a timely manner.
13. Conducts themselves in a professional manner, are accountable for their actions, and make every effort to
follow through on work and contractual commitments.
14. Only provide services under the RBT certification within a clearly defined role under close, ongoing
supervision of a BCBA.
15. Is knowledgeable of routine and emergency medical procedures and crisis procedures including, but not limited
to, CPR, basic first-aid, MANDT, and/or Ukeru.
16. Communicates medical concerns to Registered Nurse and supervisor within the appropriate time frame.
17. Uses approved crisis intervention techniques in emergency situations when persons served are in danger of
injuring themselves or others.
18. Provide behavior services during religious services with the person served, if the service recipient attends such
services.
19. Use of a computer daily and/or other technology for information and for the completion of specified job duties.
20. Attends and participates during in-service training, staff meetings and other activities to facilitate professional
development.
21. Contributes to a work and home atmosphere which is positive, enthusiastic, responsible and courteous.
22. Treats all individuals served with kindness, dignity and respect at all times.
23. Abides by Agency policies and procedures.
24. Assumes other duties, responsibilities and special projects as needed.
SECONDARY FUNCTION(S):
25. Maintain records in accordance with supervisor and BACB requirements.
26. Attends work regularly according to assigned work schedule and in accordance with Agency policy.
27. Works a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
28. Complies with monthly supervision requirements, as outlined by the BACB and RBT Handbook.
29. Complies with the procedures and guidelines outlined by the BACB to maintain an active RBT certification, on
an annual basis.
30. Works cooperatively and effectively with Agency volunteers maximizing the volunteers' experience while
meeting the needs of people served and the programs.REQUIREMENTS:EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent required. Completion of the 40-hour RBT training program.
Successful completion of RBT Initial Competency Assessment, conducted by a BCBA. Successful completion of
the RBT examination is required.EXPERIENCE: Commitment to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities. Ability to work as part
of a team. Must have a driver's license and an acceptable driving record as determined by criteria established by the
Agency's insurance carrier and by Agency policy. Must be able to lift, pull, and push adequate weight to assist
individuals supported. May be more than 50 pounds.NOTE: The applicant must pass a background check within 180 days of the date they applied for RBT
certification. Complete the application for RBT certification through the BACB, including the processing fee and
must agree to the application processing agreement, which includes an attestation that you will abide by the RBT
Ethics Code and Self-reporting Requirements. NOTE: At the discretion of the Personnel Officer, additional related experience and/or education may be substituted in lieu of the requirements specified above under Education and Experience.What's in it for you?
