Advisors communicate information regarding academic programs, policies, and procedures based on student's individual needs. Advisors assist students in realizing their educational, professional, and personal goals by offering specialized guidance. Advisors operate within an extensive campus network of institutional resources designed to help students maximize their college experience.
All Academic Advisors at the University of Oklahoma receive comprehensive training that is guided by the highest professional standards in the field and reflect the NACADA Academic Advising Core Competencies Model. Advisors are provided opportunities for professional development and career advancement that are self-directed and encompass the wide offerings of the profession.
Price Academic Advising Services works as a team creating supportive relationships that equip students with the information and resources necessary for their academic and personal success. Academic Advisors at Price College serve students by teaching them to successfully navigate through university requirements and college policies/procedures. In addition, advisors offer information about exciting OU and Price College opportunities and resources, academic resources, tutoring, and tools for success.
Essential Duties:
Required Education: Bachelor's degree
Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months academic advising or student services experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
