Hourly Wage:  

$34.34 - $39.49 (candidates with significant related experience may be higher)

Description:

Under the direction of the Corporate Risk leader(s), the Compliance Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the credit union’s compliance programs related to compliance management, UDAAP, fair lending, compliant management, and privacy, and assisting with all other compliance programs across the credit union. Serve as a compliance expert for the credit union, developing and assisting with developing innovative compliance program policies, procedures, and program components that meet regulatory guidelines and industry best practices while facilitating the credit union’s strength and growth. Ensure Royal proactively addresses developing industry trends and regulatory developments, providing insight and education to management and business units as appropriate.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time, position working core hours between 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday with additional hours as needed.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  


• Two (2) years of experience working in a financial institution or equivalent related experience
  


• Knowledge of regulatory compliance, laws and requirements
  


• Communicate and live RCU's core purpose and values, these define and drive our organizational culture

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:

• Previous decision making, team solution, and/or group leadership experience
  


• Certified Credit Union Compliance Expert designation or ability to obtain certification
