We are growing and adding a new EH&S and HR Specialist role to oversee and ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations plus human resource activities. This dual-role requires versatile capabilities of managing safety programs, promoting a safe work environment, and handling HR-related tasks such as recruitment, employee relations, and policy implementation. You will support three Ecore locations in Mexia, TX, Greenville, TX, and Caddo Mills, TX.

EH&S and HR Specialist Pay Range: $61,000 - $75,000, based on experience

Travel Needs: Spend 1-2 days every other week in Greenville, TX and Caddo Mills, TX locations

Core Contributions

Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S)


  • Compliance Management: Ensure that the organization complies with all local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Safety Programs: Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, policies, and procedures to reduce risks and ensure a safe workplace.
  • Training & Education: Conduct safety training sessions for employees, including topics such as workplace safety, hazard communication, emergency response, and ergonomics.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead investigations of workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Risk Assessment: Perform regular risk assessments and audits of the workplace to identify potential hazards and implement necessary controls.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit required EH&S reports to regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop and coordinate emergency response plans, including drills and exercises.

Human Resources (HR)

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Employee Relations: Address employee concerns, manage conflict resolution, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Policy Implementation: Assist in the development and enforcement of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Training & Development: Coordinate and deliver training programs related to company policies, procedures, and employee development.
  • Performance Management: Support the performance management process, including appraisals, feedback, and development plans.
  • Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including attendance, benefits, and personnel files.
  • Employee Engagement: Participate in initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.

Essential Experiences:


  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience with EHS with OSHA 30 certification
  • Professional certifications such as OSHA, CSP, PHR, or SHRM-CP are helpful
