Description: Our client, a diversified global manufacturer and solutions provider, delivers innovative equipment, components, consumable supplies, and aftermarket parts worldwide. Due to ongoing growth, they are seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Richmond, VA.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Plan and improve manufacturing processes and methods for efficiency.
Analyze workforce, space, and workflow for optimal equipment layout.
Collaborate with design staff and vendors to ensure efficient production.
Estimate production times, staffing, costs, and provide management insights.
Evaluate and implement changes to improve manufacturing efficiency and manage capital equipment projects.
Education:
(4) year degree is required; a degree in an Engineering discipline is preferred
3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering
3 years Engineering experience with implementing and design manufacturing.
Qualification & Requirements:
Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills.

Improve manufacturing systems.
Support new product introductions and expansions.
Present technical information.
Experience with 2D CAD (3D is a plus).
Track project progress accurately.
Lead problem-solving teams.
Proven engineering leadership.
Experience with facility layout design.
Knowledge of fabrication equipment, sheet metal, and polyurethane foaming.
Expertise in Lean and Six Sigma manufacturing.
