ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY




SUMMARY : Under the general supervision, the Lead (Crew Member) is responsible for assisting various tasks including the oversight or delegation of responsibilities within the operation.



SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety):


  • Typical duties may include, general office, tutoring, research projects, washing dishes, food preparation, serving food, waiting tables, cashiering, custodial, groundwork, receiving and stocking orders/items.

  • Provide a good balance of technical and people skills with the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.

  • Prepare documents/materials as necessary.

  • Possess the ability to deliver a high level of interactive customer service, handle confidential materials appropriately, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high level of accuracy.

  • Assist with special projects.

  • Must be able to communicate regularly with direct supervisor all work status updates as well as task completions.

  • Assist with schedules and assigns daily work assignments to a team and oversees the completion of

  • Assist with training and guides staff on job duties, proper food safety and sanitation procedures, customer service,

  • Sets up workstations including prep tables, service counters,

  • Breaks down, cleans, and sanitizes work stations

  • Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers,

  • Adheres to safety policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

  • 6 or more months of job-related experience

  • Must be able to work independently with limited supervision

  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills

  • Satisfactory completion of training program(s) and ability to show competencies.

  • Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.

ABOUT US : As the largest employer of students on the Cal Poly Pomona campus, the Foundation offers valuable work experience and hands-on training to approximately 1,500 Cal Poly Pomona students each year. The Foundation offers positions in various fields; whether it is in the area of technology, science, retail, culinary arts, hospitality management, leadership or research grants, these student employees participate in Cal Poly Pomona's learn-by-doing philosophy and acquire practical skills in their designated field of study.
