Ledgent Finance & Accounting is a trusted staffing partner connecting skilled professionals with top companies. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity with one of our prestigious clients in Sacramento, CA.
Position Overview:
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and financial records. This position is ideal for a candidate who is organized, efficient, and ready to grow with a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice coding, approvals, and payments.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers.
Maintain accurate records of invoices and transactions within the accounting system.
Prepare and post journal entries related to accounts payable.
Assist with month-end close processes.
Communicate effectively with vendors, internal departments, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to accounts payable.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting roles.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Proficiency in accounting software in Appfolio, Yardi or QuickBooks.
Solid understanding of AP processes and accounting principles.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
Pay: $25 - $28 per hr.
