Develops, prepares, writes, edits, coordinates and disseminates information for the College of Architecture, Arts and Humanities. Possesses strong written communication skills and an eye for visual presentation. Completes other duties as assigned by the CAAH Public Information Director or Dean.
JOB DUTIES:
30% - Essential - Editorial Content Generation: Produces stories about faculty and student achievement and impact for internal and external audiences; assists the college's public information director with writing, editing, and producing of periodical newsletters.
30% - Essential - Social Media: Manages official social media accounts of the College of Arts and Humanities. Works with departments in the college to promote events and share information in a timely manner. Assists with the creation of written and visual content. Collaborates with the college's public information director, student services director and the university's social media team to plan content and promote the college.
25% - Essential - Recruitment Communications: Assists the college's director of student services with the updating and creation of materials and email campaigns for recruitment, including writing, editing, photography, graphic design and video production. Assists with the communications aspects of special events for current and prospective students and their families.
15% - Essential - Other Communications: Assists the dean with editing, writing and presentations as needed. Proofreads website content. Performs other communications duties as assigned by the dean and the public information director. Assists with special events, such as Honors and Awards Day and donor recognitions. Works closely with the Humanities Hub director on promotion of events.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Bachelor's Degree - Communication, journalism or marketing preferred Work Experience - 1+ years
