About This Position

CRJ wants you to join our growing team of Senior Maintenance Technicians!


This is a full-time, benefit eligible, 40hrs/week position with a Boston, MA based headquarters.
This position requires traveling and may require some travel to CRJ locations in MA, RI, CT, NH, and NY. The starting rate for this position is $30/hr.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • General duties include maintaining and general upkeep such as painting, minor plumbing, electrical, TV & data lines, carpentry, and basic equipment or facility repairs. The Technician will also participate with an on-call rotation responding to 24-hour emergency facility situations.
  • General residential maintenance repairs, drywall patches and repairs, completes touch-up painting and repaints of rooms as required.
  • Opens clogged drains, fix leaks, and perform other simple plumbing jobs.
  • Performs simple carpentry tasks, such installing shelving, window blinds, repair/install doors, closures and door locks as necessary.
  • Change light bulbs, may replace fixtures, install alarm, data & cable tv lines, and similar minor electrical tasks.
  • Maintains tools and equipment and company assets in working order and maintains tool inventory.
  • Completes and updates electronic work orders, emails.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Job Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in related maintenance trade in similar Residential Disability Housing Facilities.
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; understanding of contractual obligations and responsibilities; presentation and speaking skills

    Community Strategies (CS) supports adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities through specialized services that include Day Programs, Shared Living arrangements with providers, as well as over forty community-based group homes. Social Justice Services (SJS), supports those leaving incarceration to make positive, sustainable life transitions through residential and non-residential programs. Behavioral Health (BH) has worked to break cycles of violence, crime, and incarceration by providing client-centered interventions and support services to empower and strengthen individuals, families, and communities. BH provides domestic violence treatment and education, community reentry services, mentoring programs, and intensive outpatient programs. The Crime and Justice Institute (CJI) is a non-profit organization working at the local, state, and national level to improve public safety and the delivery of justice. CJI provides technical assistance, research, and other services to improve outcomes in policing, the corrections system, pre-trial, re-entry, community supervision, and juvenile justice.
