$104,000.00 - $193,100.00

Infinera is seeking a Manager of US Tax Compliance, reporting directly to the Tax Director, Tax Compliance. This role will manage the outsourced US income tax compliance process and will support the tax provision for a global company operating in 45+ countries. This position will leverage technology resources to assist with streamlining process and developing synergies between the provision and compliance processes.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all US tax returns including the federal and state corporate income tax returns, and informational filings such as forms 1099
  • Partner with outsource compliance partner to improve standardization as well as automation in the US tax compliance process
  • Research & document technical positions taken on US federal and state income tax returns
  • Review federal, state & local tax returns, estimates, and extensions.
  • Maintain tax filing calendar and track filing obligations to completion
  • Manage federal, state & local income tax audits
  • Support the Director of Tax Reporting with accuracy of quarterly and annual tax provision throughout the year
  • Partner with the business to establish a compliance process for investment tax credits, and drive compliance for R&D credit studies and credit documentation
  • Build, lead, develop and mentor a strong performing team of tax professionals

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience at a multinational corporation and/or public accounting firm
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Strong preference for a candidate with a CPA certification
  • Experience leading and managing complex US reporting structures for a multinational with a large number of entities in multiple jurisdictions
  • Substantive experience with tax provisions
  • Demonstrated track record of standardizing, executing and documenting end-to-end processes, particularly for compliance and provision
  • Clear and concise written and oral communication skills
  • Proven experience with problem solving and prioritization
  • Exceptional organization and project management skills with the ability to work independently and/or cross functionally as needed to own and drive the US compliance process
  • Proficient with MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of SAP and OneSource software a plus
