Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Head of Civil Engineering with a specialization in ground-up land development. This is a leadership role for someone with extensive expertise in site development, off-site utilities, and LID systems. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Civil Engineering Department, overseeing land development projects from start to finish.
Provide technical expertise in precision grading, site utilities (on and off-site), and LID systems.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure projects meet all design and regulatory requirements.
Develop strategies for project execution, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Mentor and guide the engineering team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
Maintain high standards for project quality, timelines, and client satisfaction.
Drive innovation within the department, applying the latest trends in LID and land development practices.
Requirements:
PE License (Professional Engineer) is required.
Minimum of 7+ years of experience in civil engineering, specializing in ground-up land development.
Proven experience with precision grading and on and off-site utilities.
Extensive LID (Low Impact Development) experience is essential.
Public sector experience is not desired; focus on private land development.
Must currently be working in civil engineering.
A proven leader ready to take on the responsibility of managing a department and playing a pivotal role in the growth of the company.
