Information Services Client is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Consultant for a 5 month remote contract!

$73-80/hr W2



Role Summary:



The Regulatory Compliance Consultant will assist financial institutions in meeting their legal and regulatory obligations. This includes compliance with federal financial consumer protection laws, BSA/AML, and OFAC requirements. The role involves a blend of advisory and consulting tasks, including examination preparation, policy development, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Client Engagements: Plan, coordinate, and fulfill client engagements, working independently or collaboratively to identify weaknesses, improve processes, and communicate findings.

  • Consulting Services: Provide advisory services including examination preparation, remediation of issues, compliance policy development, CMS assessments, fair lending reviews, and BSA/AML independent reviews.

  • Transactional Testing: Perform testing to support CMS reviews and other compliance activities.

  • Adaptability: Adjust to changing priorities and maintain attention to detail.

  • Solution Implementation: Understand client environments and recommend and implement solutions.

  • Reporting: Assist in generating formal reports and other deliverables.

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of five years in a compliance role at a financial institution, regulatory agency, or as a compliance consultant.

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Industry Experience: Experience with consumer compliance, BSA/AML, OFAC, fair lending, and CRA.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Ability to monitor and interpret regulatory changes.

  • Consulting Experience: Experience in delivering consulting services or conducting bank examinations.

Skills and Abilities:



  • Communication: Strong written and verbal presentation, reporting, and meeting facilitation skills.

  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing information, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.

  • Independence and Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on multiple projects.

  • Confidentiality: Understanding of legal ethics and confidentiality.

  • Customer Service: Strong skills in managing client relationships and understanding client needs.

  • Time Management: Effective time management, prioritization, and deadline adherence.

  • Documentation: Ability to document processes clearly.

  • Technical Proficiency: Expert in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Desired Certifications:



  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)

  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)

Additional Experience:



  • Examination Experience: Prior experience with regulatory bodies like the OCC, FDIC, Federal Reserve, or CFPB is desirable.
