Job Description:

Inventory Control (Automotive Parts)


Inventory Control:


Perform routine physical counts of automotive parts and resolve discrepancies between actual counts and system records.
Monitor inventory levels, ensuring timely reordering to avoid stock shortages or excess inventory.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate inventory data in the system, including part numbers, descriptions, quantities, and locations.
Data Entry & System Management:


Input inventory data into the system, updating information as needed.
Generate and analyze inventory reports for accuracy and identify patterns or potential issues.
Utilize inventory management software to track parts and produce relevant documentation.
Organization & Maintenance:


Organize the inventory area for optimal space utilization and easy part access.
Implement and maintain a clear labeling system for efficient part identification and retrieval.
Keep the inventory area clean, safe, and properly maintained.
Coordination & Communication:


Work closely with departments such as purchasing and service teams to ensure parts availability.
Liaise with suppliers and vendors to resolve delivery discrepancies or issues.
Provide support to technicians and service staff with information on part availability and specifications.
Process Improvement:


Recommend improvements for inventory management processes and procedures.
Stay informed about industry best practices and trends in inventory management.
Qualifications:


High school diploma or equivalent; certifications or coursework in inventory management are beneficial.
Previous experience in inventory management, preferably in the automotive industry.
Proficiency in inventory management systems and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Physical ability to lift and move parts (typically under 15-20lbs).
