What do you get to do in this position?

Lead regional, district or product/solution/service sales team and is accountable for formulating goals, sales forecast, budget, objectives and staffing for area. Develops strategies and schedules to meet these goals and objectives. Provides coaching and development activities for sales staff necessary to achieve sales targets; pursue key prospects, negotiate and construct appropriate terms of sales, etc.


  1. Defines markets, market potentials and appropriate sales strategies for the region/district. Partners with customers/distributors to plan strategies, provide quality service, train customer, and provide support necessary for attainment of customer's goals and objectives. Anticipates obstacles and identifies alternative strategies.

  2. Formulates, communicates, implements, and evaluates strategic and tactical sales plans. Monitors sales performance. Provides coaching to ensure successful execution of plans.

  3. Maintains active relationships with Schneider Electric customers. Negotiates discrepancies between customer's expectations and Schneider Electric's.

  4. Provides coaching and development activities for sales staff necessary to achieve sales targets; pursue key prospects, negotiate and construct appropriate terms of sales.

  5. Coordinates sales activities in region/district with other regions/districts and national account management to penetrate national accounts.

  6. Develops, implements and monitors budget and asset control systems.

  7. Utilizes lean thinking principles to continuously examine processes. Identifies necessary improvements and coordinates implementation.

  8. Administers and/or establishes company policies that directly affect employees.


  • Create both strategic and tactical plans to increase Schneider Electric's market share. Understand both short- and longterm market landscape, growth potential, and target segments to develop coverage and sales strategies for the Area.

  • Exceed sales and profitability targets to assist in achieving Schneider Electric's vision for growth in assigned geography. Use customer relationship management (CRM) software and data analytics to shape sales and orders forecasts for Supply Chain and Staffing. Establish budgets to manage costs and to maximize return on investment.


  • Develop talent through recruiting, training, coaching, mentoring, employee engagement, and performance management. Foster organizational culture of collaboration and innovation.


  • Coach teams throughout the sales cycle: prospect, qualify, solution, pursuit, negotiate and convert. Set expectations for both customer retention and new customer acquisition.

  • Develop and sponsor executive relationships with local Channel Partners, Consulting Engineers, Electrical Contractors, and End Users. Identify growth segments and key business transformations required for success. Establish business-to-business expectations and mitigate commercial disputes should they arise.


  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6-10 years of varied experience in sales, marketing, and product management. Relevant work experience and/or networks within the Electrical Industry are desirable.

  • The successful candidate will be a self-confident and skilled communicator who has demonstrated the ability to build relationships and influence others across functional boundaries.

  • He/she must have well-developed strategic planning skills. He/she must be able to effectively challenge the status quo and network both upwards and downwards and collaborate and influence within a complex organization.

  • He/she must have demonstrated ability to implement innovation and change. He/she should have a solid understanding of business finance. Ability to travel (25%+) as required.

  • Additionally, this individual must be recognized as a strong performer with a strong track record of demonstrated results and the ability to grow in the organization.

  • A four year degree is required.


The U.S. compensation range for this full-time position is $128,800- $192,720.00 plus commission for candidates located within the U.S. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
