At F5 NGINX, we are moving towards a modern, SaaS-based solution to simplify our customers’ observability and management needs. Data is critical in enabling enterprises to observe and monitor their applications. We are seeking a Product Manager who is focused on building the data products that will help provide deep insights for both customers and F5 NGINX.

Responsibilities:

Data Product Management:


  • Develop a deep understanding of the organization's business processes and how they are reflected in various data sources, ensuring a comprehensive and interconnected view of the business.

  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and scientists to design and implement scalable, robust, and accurate data solutions, identifying and integrating disparate data sets to create a cohesive and comprehensive data environment.

  • Translate complex data uses, relationships, and stakeholder needs into clear product requirements documents, user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance/quality criteria for new features and products.

  • Work with our UX designers to develop meaningful ways to visualize data across use cases.

  • Drive adoption of data products among partners through training, documentation, and change management initiatives.

  • Data Governance:

  • Manage and adapt a data governance program for NGINX.

  • Develop and drive processes to ensure the organization maintains accuracy and security regarding its data.

  • Lead coordination among product groups, stakeholders, and data solutions implementers to identify and prioritize data product features and manage data change.
     

Data Strategy:


  • Manage alignment of NGINX data products with NGINX & F5 strategy.

  • Identify data product roadmap based on strategies, DS/DE/Analytics needs, and pipelines, etc.

  • Contribute to the development of a strong data culture and advocate for best practices in data management and analytics.

Qualifications

Required:


  • Product Management experience, preferably as a Data Product Manager.

  • Deep understanding of data integration, ELT processes, data modeling and querying techniques, and data pipeline creation and management.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technology and concepts clearly.

Nice to have:


  • Data management/governance experience.

  • Experience with Agile practices and frameworks and SDLC for data products.

  • Experience with DM tools such as Alation and dbt.

  • Experience with Tableau.

The annual U.S. base pay range for this position is: $133,876.00 - $200,814.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
