Job Description:

Summary/Objective

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing the activities of skilled and unskilled maintenance

and electrical and tool making Team Members. The Supervisor establishes daily work plans and schedules and maintains repair parts inventory and their. The focus is toward a proactive

preventative Maintenance program.

Essential Functions


  • Direct

    oversee


    plan and schedule maintenance activity. Review


    prioritize and plan project execution through work order system. Provide necessary maintenance resources for breakdowns and emergency situations.


  • Procure repair / replacement parts and components / Review and monitor utility and repair costs for the facility
  • Implement preventive maintenance procedures and keep records. Improve equipment uptime by using preventative and predictive measures such as CMMS

    vibration analysis


    oil analysis and infrared scanning.


  • Performs normal supervisory duties- selection

    development


    discipline and communications. Prepare and present employee performance reviews. Identify and provide necessary training for maintenance employees.


  • Ensure safety policies are followed by all employees
  • Track and document maintenance activity and time allotment. Communicate and meet with engineering department regarding upcoming engineering projects. Communicate and meet with service providers to create reliable and responsive relationship.
  • Prepare maintenance C.A.Rs (Capital Appropriation Requests)
  • Actively participate in C.I. and cost reduction projects
  • Eliminate unsafe conditions and foster safe working behaviors
  • Identify development opportunities for direct reports and provide skills training

Education and Experience


  • 5 years minimum supervisory experience in a reliability or maintenance setting in manufacturing
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs
  • Proven experience as an industrial safety leader
  • Competent user of all Microsoft Office programs and experience with SAP
  • Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System
  • Ability to "adjust on the fly" to changing priorities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities Mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of safety alarm systems
  • Knowledgeable in hydraulic
