The primary responsibility of the Purchasing Replenishment Clerk is to coordinate raw materials to the bakeries. Interact across the multiple departments of Manufacturing, Receiving, Sales, Compliance and Operations to ensure materials are available for planned production. To maintain proper inventory and communicate to suppliers based on demands.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review forecast and inventory, determine delivery dates, and place purchase orders with suppliers.
  • Reviews inventory levels on a weekly basis and adjusts as needed.
  • Performs necessary changes to maintain accuracy of essential information such as pricing, pallet quantities, unit of measure, etc.
  • Maintain all necessary files for replenishment i.e. bags, ingredients, packaging, etc.
  • Maintain off-site bulk orders.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external relationships, including suppliers.
  • Adhere to and follow the Company’s Core Values.
  • Update ingredients and packaging components.
  • Maintain system master data, including but not limited to pricing, units of measure, vendors, ordering parameters (minimums/multiples).
  • Performs any other related duties as assigned by Purchasing Managers.

    Minimum Education/Experience

    • Preferred 2 years administrative work experience, in purchasing and inventory management.
    • Must have a High School Diploma or GED, some college preferred.

    Critical Skills and Expertise

    • Knowledge and proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and other Windows based programs, including Outlook. Experience with ERP/MRP system desirable; Microsoft NAV preferred.
    • Advanced Excel Skills preferred with proficiency in functions and formulas (i.e. VLOOKUP, pivot tables, SUMIF formulas).
    • Basic understanding of purchasing principles and general accounting procedures and rules.
    • Knowledge of problem-solving techniques, researching, and determining the most appropriate course of action and best resolution.
    • Demonstrate the ability to communicate and apply broad computer technology in a wide array of functional areas.
    • Must possess excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully handle conflicts and pressures associated with meeting multiple deadlines.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and a high sense of self-efficacy.
    • Capable of understanding complex instructions, reading notices, and work schedule.
    • Ability to record input (data entry) information accurately.
    • Ability to work effectively with minimal instruction and supervision.
    • Ability to work independently and make independent judgments.
    • Ability to follow an activity through to implementation.
