Maintenance Project Coordinator - MPC

Where will you work: Onsite - Big Bend (12839 WYANDOTTE ROAD |GIBSONTON, FL 33534)

As a maintenance project coordinator, you will provide safe and efficient execution of maintenance jobs at the Mosaic Distribution Terminals by providing detailed job plans and maintaining the CMMS. This position is responsible for scoping work/projects, bidding activities, managing work execution and contractor, job safety, cost management and coordination with other site activities. Reporting to the facility manager you will have the opportunity to work closely with other maintenance planners and maintenance project coordinators assisting in the coordination, planning and implementation of capital projects and other maintenance activities at our Big Bend and Tampa Marine facilities. You will thrive in this role if you are a self-starter with the ability to set clear goals objectives to get the job done.

What you'll do?


  • Serve as an area resource for maintenance expertise.


  • Ensure Mosaic Maintenance /Operating Mechanics and/or EIA Technicians are following safety protocols.


  • Assist with managing routine maintenance activities.


  • Coordinate activities, manage budgets and track progress during execution.


  • Manage contractors performing supplemental and specialty maintenance work and coordinate field activities supporting work execution.


  • Provide training and assistance to area personnel as needed.


  • Provide support to maintain equipment records, bills of materials, PMs and other records within the CMMS.


  • Prepare Capital Requests (CR's), work with Purchasing to select contractors, manage contracts, manage capital project funds and coordination of field activities supporting work execution.


  • Support the development of PMs and Job Plans, trigger PMs and distribute to appropriate personnel.


  • Assist with revisions of the PM program as required through the MOC process.


  • Develop work scope, hold/attend pre-job meetings, work with Procurement in reviewing bids, oversee work, and maintain proper documentation (materials certification, contractor qualifications).


What you'll need?


  • High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience


  • Experience in process safety management, mechanical integrity, maintenance project planning


  • CMMS experience such as SAP


  • Experience writing, implementing and following process safety programs


  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite


Bonus points if you have the following:


  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, process safety, occupational safety or related discipline with a minimum of one year experience


  • API certification
