We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager to join a well established, global manufacturing company to sit in their Independence, OH location. This is a hybrid role of in-office and remote work. This person will be responsible for overseeing 1-2 direct reports, month end close, payroll, reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger, assisting with audits, budget and financial forecasting. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience, MUST have SAP experience and worked for a larger organization.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, general ledger, payroll, and month-end close.
Prepare and review financial statements in line with GAAP and IFRS.
Develop and enforce accounting policies to ensure regulatory compliance.
Manage external audits and resolve issues promptly.
Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Ensure compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory standards.
Leverage SAP and other systems to streamline accounting processes.
Drive continuous improvements in accounting accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
5-7 years of relevant experience.
Proficient in SAP and Excel; experience with BPC is a plus.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and financial regulations.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
