Your Role:
EMD Electronics is immediately hiring for a Production Specialist for its Production team in Branchburg, NJ. This is a challenging, hands-on, rewarding job opportunity for people who want to join a growing business.
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Specialist is expected to be the technical contact for manufacturing support of our production processes. Responsibilities include ensuring all safety and quality standards are upheld, monitoring process data real-time, troubleshooting production problems, initiating and executing continuous improvement projects, and coordinating preventative maintenance activities.
The scope of this role includes:
Act as the Technical Point of Contact for production operations ensuring meeting quality, safety, and capacity targets.
Familiar with SAP, focusing on PL2P workstream. Responsible in issuing materials to batches for cost tracking.
Manage production raw material and finished goods inventory with SAP, including necessary adjustment and material movement.
Perform process cost analysis, and cause identification for high POV processes.
Take a lead role in troubleshooting equipment, process, and quality abnormalities, using relevant chemical and engineering knowledge.
Review and update process and operation documentation, following the Management of Change process.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the face of competing priorities.
Lead the production RCA (Root Cause Analysis) activities for production failures and safety incidents and interfaces with peers in their troubleshooting efforts.
Identify the equipment need for production team, including system upgrades and new capital projects.
Develop current and future production operation model to improve production throughput and capacity
Engage in the production automation and digitalization projects, and facilitate in technical and process training of production operators.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Material Science
5+ years of industrial experiences in a chemical company supporting semi-conductor industry
Preferred Qualifications:
Post-graduate degree of the relevant technical discipline
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to organize and prioritize work with attention to details
Strong SAP skills
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Ability to respond to international team requirements with varying work schedules
Basic understanding of the GLM role and function
