Job Description:

This position serves as the primary sales leader for our Short-Term Vehicle Rentals division, driving business growth in a fast-paced, private equity-owned company in the fleet management industry. The role requires a unique blend of strategic sales leadership, market expertise, and team-building capabilities to develop high-performing sales teams and deliver innovative vehicle leasing solutions to our clients. With a focus on expanding market share, optimizing existing business, and building long-term client relationships, this is a pivotal role in shaping the companys Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy and achieving our broader growth objectives.

What will your day look like?

  • Grow, motivate, and mentor a high-performing team of Regional Sales Managers, Inside Sales Managers, and Client Development Managers, fostering a culture of continuous success.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans for short-term vehicle leasing, targeting both market expansion and deepening relationships with existing clients.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, and Marketing to ensure seamless vehicle fulfillment, asset mix, and accurate forecasting.
  • Take full ownership of the short-term pipeline, ensuring efficiency through KPI reviews and accurate forecasting for onboarding and offboarding.
  • Oversee pricing strategies and deal negotiations, providing approvals and escalations as necessary.
  • Act as the senior leader and primary point of contact for top-tier clients, ensuring high satisfaction and retention.
  • Guide sales teams in creating territory plans and developing new tactics that differentiate Merchants Fleet in the market.
  • Represent Merchants Fleet at industry events and contribute to external thought leadership.
  • Collaborate with Long-Term Sales VPs on cross-sell opportunities between Short-Term and Long-Term segments.

What YOU bring to the organization:

  • Expertise in driving sales growth through strategic planning and team leadership.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in pricing, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with C-suite clients, ensuring long-term customer satisfaction.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, working seamlessly with internal teams like Operations, Finance, and Marketing.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience influencing senior leadership.

Bring your expertise:

  • Minimum of 10 years of sales leadership experience in vehicle leasing, fleet management, logistics, or related industries.
  • Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and deliver significant revenue growth.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Sales, or related field (Masters preferred).
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
