This mid-sized General Contractor is headquartered out of Rockville and is a specialist in the ground-up construction of retail, self-storage, automotive and other commercial buildings across the DMV region. They are looking to expand their team as a result of a robust project pipeline.
Your new role
Within this position, you will be a Superintendent on ground-up commercial projects across the DMV, particularly in the DC Metro, Maryland and NoVA regions. You will be responsible for all field operations within your site including, but not limited to, the following duties:
Oversee all aspects of the construction project for the entirety of its lifecycle
Ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
Coordinate with the project manager, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that all work is completed according to the project plans and specifications
Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as needed to keep it on schedule and within budget
Ensure that all safety regulations and procedures are followed on the job site
Keep accurate records of all work completed and materials used
Prepare progress reports and communicate regularly with the project manager and other stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Ground-up or Base-build Superintendent for commercial projects.
Strong knowledge of all aspects of construction, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team of subcontractors and workers.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
