RMC is hiring a Help Desk Technician (0800-1600 day shift) in Dahlgren, VA.
The selected applicant will be responsible for:
Maintaining a professional relationship with all customers and clients in a very busy call center environment.
Providing technical support by responding to and resolving end-user problems.
Identify, research and resolve technical problems at the Tier 1 level of responsibility.
Documenting internal procedures.
Assisting with the onboarding of new users.
Supporting the maintenance of multiple classrooms including reconfiguring furniture layouts, cabling, general upkeep.
Effective verbal and written communication.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in researching data and developing analytical techniques and methodologies.
Requirements
One (1) year of Systems Administration and/or IT Help Desk Experience.
Effective use of Help Desk tracking and ticketing system(s); tracking technical issues using ServiceNow and other ticketing systems; maintaining historical records and related documentation to ensure timely resolution.
Diagnose data communications problems using specialized tools, test equipment and software utilities.
Installation and configuration of new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Certification Requirements:
DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 Certification (Security + CE) is required. Additional Training may be required to be completed within 90 days of start.
Security Clearance Requirements:
Active DoD Secret clearance is required to start. Applicants selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
