We are now hiring for a Supply Chain Supervisor! Under direction of the Supply Chain Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating all Distribution functions in Supply Chain network and the Logistics functions related to yard management and trailer movements.

 CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Supervising the development and mentoring of distribution team members through onboarding, open communication, training, and development opportunities.  Build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competences.


  • Develop & maintain distribution policies, logic, & reporting to ensure distribution of goods is done in the most cost effective method to ensure highest service levels are met. 


  • Main contact between Operations & Supply Chain department management on sensitive or urgent projects, issues, or accounts to act as one voice between other departments management.


  • Subject matter expert for departmental processes & reporting tools and uses expert knowledge to solve complex function wide or internal/external issues.


  • Monitor, maintain and create measurements to ensure top performance of employees and department goals.


  • Responsible for balancing the cost of manufacturing and the cost of transportation/distribution, while considering manufacturing capacities


  • Assure effective and efficient trailer yard operation utilizing yard management system, providing continuous support to operation needs. Manage all trailer movements between all Medline operational sites and suppliers.


  • Develop and maintain yard safety policies to assure accident free Logistics operations.


Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred in Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, or equivalent field)

Relevant Work Experience


  • 2 years of leadership experience.


  • 2 years of experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain related fields.


  • Certification / Licensure


  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel
