General Purpose

The IT System Administrator is responsible for the development, administration, and optimization of internal IT tools and systems, ensuring they deliver maximum value to the organization. This role involves setting up and managing data integrations between various systems, supporting identity management and access control, and collaborating with IT support teams to enhance support tools. The IT System Administrator plays a crucial role in the development and maintenance of a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and enforces configuration control processes to ensure all changes are properly documented, approved, tracked, and validated.

This position also includes administering Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems across multiple operating environments, overseeing device compliance, and managing the lifecycle of IT assets. This position requires a mix of IT Administration and IT Development of new products and services.

Essential Duties

• Develop and optimize internal IT Tools and Systems to enhance their value to the organization.

• Set-up and manage data integrations between systems.

• Support Identify management and access between systems.

• Collaborate with support teams to tailor support tools and processes to improve the IT team's ability to assist end-users.

• Assist in the development and support of a Configuration Management Database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information on assets and configurations.

• Enforce configuration control processes to ensure changes are documented, approved, tracked, and validated.

• Administer Mobile Device Management (MDM) Systems and device deployment profiles across multiple Operating Systems and environments.

• Administer Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools such as ConnectWise RMM

• Manage the lifecycle of IT Assets.

• Monitor device compliance and remediate non-compliant devices to maintain security and performance.

• Assist in the support and development of ITSM systems such as FreshService.

• Assist in the support and development of Infrastructure Monitoring.

• Capture and report on key metrics including tool utilization and adoption.

• Create and update knowledge base and support articles.

• Train staff on how to use new tools and feature sets.

• Communicate and collaborate with vendors and suppliers of hardware and software to ensure effective delivery of IT services.

Qualification

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar fields. Relevant experience may also be considered instead of education.

• Relevant IT Certifications

• MDM expertise in at least one of the following: InTune, JAMF, Addigy, Google Admin.

• Experience with ITIL or other IT frameworks.

• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Powershell or Python.
