Your Role: Senior Accountant – Corporate Accounting
This position will be a key contributor to the Elanco Corporate Accounting and Reporting (ECAR) team. This team plays an important role in telling the Elanco story through its financial results.
Your Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of tasks as part of the corporate close, including monitoring and reconciling intercompany and intracompany activities, preparing journal entries for changes in value of investments held by Elanco, preparing reconciliations for key accounts, and assisting in preparation of monthly close and SOX deliverables, including evidence to support the execution of controls
Provide accurate and timely accounting guidance to affiliates and business partners
Assist with the implementation of a new consolidations system (OneStream)
Contribute to the continuous improvement in corporate governance processes and controls
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Required Experience: 2 years of experience in the finance function or public accounting practice, preferably with in-depth knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS technical accounting
CPA or Chartered Accountant candidate
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
Ability to work and communicate effectively with people throughout the world across a variety of functions to produce high quality work
Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
Experience with SAP S4 HANA ERP and/or OneStream solutions for consolidations/reporting
High competency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
Solid problem-solving skills and ability to innovate
Additional Information:
Travel: less than 10%
Location: Global Elanco Headquarters - Greenfield, IN - Hybrid Work Environment
Flexibility during peak closing periods.
Overtime is required based upon business needs and issues, particularly during closing at quarter and year-ends.
