SUMMARY



The Deputy Manager supports the Contract Manager in overseeing, planning and coordinating all aspects of the full life cycle of the customer's task. Helps to ensure that all project goals and deliverables are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe, budgetary parameters and to the customer's satisfaction. Works closely with the Project Manager to provide cohesive team leadership and maintains positive working relationships with the customer and key stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS



Assists in developing program guidelines, procedures, policies, rules, and regulations.
Assists in developing schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving project/program goals.
Assists in evaluating project/program activities.
Assists in developing training and facilitation.
Works under the guidance of Contract Manager and YRRP Program Manager.
Reviews communication products for clarity, effectiveness, and alignment with image and messaging.
Researches and analyzes new approaches and techniques.



KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Collaborates with the Project Manager to ensure all aspects of project management are carried out efficiently and effectively. Reviews project proposal or plans to determine timeframe, funding limitation, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project. Helps in the preparation of contract deliverables project charts and schedules as needed. Performs job cost analysis. Supports a solid customer relationship and to ensure customer satisfaction with the successful execution of the project.


As directed, serves as a primary point of contact with the government Contracting Officer, Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), and other such government officials. Assists the Project Manager in the management/ administration and submission of all data items required in each task delivery order.


Assists with developing and implementing a quality control and safety plan. Attends quality and safety meetings, as required. Helps to ensure compliance with all applicable safety requirements/guidelines and company policies/ procedures.


Assists in coordinating responses to Requests for Proposals (RFP's) and Requests for Quotes (RFQ's) which may include but is not limited to creating cost estimates and proposals, analyzing quotation request information or specifications and developing a quotation plan. May be required to coordinate pricing information necessary to complete a quotation, as well as review all estimated inputs for completeness, accuracy, and compatibility.


As directed by the Project Manager, assists with supervising contract employees. Ensures staffing levels/skills are appropriate for the project scope and deliverables. Actively participates in the hiring of new and replacement project staff.


Assists with implementing industry best practices, project management tools and methodologies.


Receives continual development and training on how to operate a Project.



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE



Bachelor's degree in a related field of study and zero to two (0-2) years relevant project management experience in federal government contracting, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

The pay range for this role is 70K - 90K. This salary range is representative of the various ranges found within the professional sector across the United States, with the final offer amount dependent on location, skillset, and experience.
