About the Role



The Associate Manager of AP AR is responsible for monitoring daily workflow schedules and prioritizes tasks for staff as needed. The Associate Manager will produce reliable revenue data in an accurate and timely manner for the General Ledger, and maintain established processes to ensure accurate and timely invoicing, cash application or collection of revenue. The Associate Manager will manage a staff of billing clerks and collection personnel.



What the Candidate Will Do



• Direct, motivate, manage, and lead the Accounts Receivable team with overall accountability for meeting established billing, collections and reporting deadlines in accordance with Uber Freight policies and procedures


• Resolve billing discrepancies and propose adjustments to customer/client accounts as needed


• Collaborate with internal customers across all service groups (including Mexico and Canada) on issues affecting their customers/clients


• Prepare Daily Balancing Report for the Executive team, and provide weekly reports on key indicators in accounts payable trends


• Review shipments for necessary info in TMSF


• Run cash receipt reconciliation; balance receipt reconciliation against bank statement


• Research unapplied cash; resolve by applying cash to the appropriate account or refunding customer


• Constant innovation of the behind the scenes action within TMSF - how things work vs. how they should work. Work with IT to create specialized product that best addresses needs


• Experience working with offshore teams, BPO


• Conduct performance reviews, motivate team members and create strategies to boost productivity


• Complete Month End financial close processing as required



Basic Qualifications



• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting,or related field


• Minimum 5 years of Accounts Receivable experience


• Minimum 2 years of Management experience



Preferred Qualifications



• Knowledge of the Oracle, BillTrust, or Comparable ERP System, specifically, Accounts Receivable module(s)


• Knowledge of General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Cash and Credit Management


• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, able to translate metrics, research, and trends into strategy and action


• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint


• BPO experience
