Our internship will offer you a chance to explore the breadth of opportunities available in the supply chain while working on real projects such as process improvements in flow planning for finished products, raw materials & finishing supplies, space utilization & optimization analysis, or warehouse operations systems analysis.  You will be provided meaningful work experiences that contribute to the overall strategic business goals of Kimberly-Clark.  You’ll be treated & respected as a valuable contributor & given your own responsibilities & accountabilities.  Your intern experience will include performance evaluations that provide you with valuable professional feedback to gauge your strengths & measure areas of improvement.

Qualifications


  • Students must have completed 2-3 years toward a four-year college degree; preferably in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics Management, Manufacturing Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field.


  • Minimum 3.0 out of 4.0 overall GPA is preferred (transcripts will be requested).


  • Solid knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint


  • A high degree of analytical skill is required


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills


  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. 


Responsibilities


  • Assist in the development and management of occupational safety, health, and hygiene program resources to ensure Mill, Sector and corporate objectives are met. Constantly works and communicates in a manner that fully supports world class goals of no loss, no incidents.


  • Learns technical expertise in safety, employee health and industrial hygiene to Mill personnel and maintains OSHA regulated policies.


  • Support teams of employees in integrating safety, health and hygiene in all facets of manufacturing, including the development of safe work procedures and task analysis.


  • Assists in development, maintenance and implementation of procedures and other instructions relative to occupational safety, health and hygiene.


  • Conducts training programs relative to occupational safety, health and hygiene.


  • Ensures development, maintenance, and coordination of a system for investigating safety issues, near misses, accidents, and property losses.


  • Contributes to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions to achieve desired business results.


  • Ensure continued safe work practices of self and others by complying with company and governmental regulations. Maintain good housekeeping standards while eliminating and preventing losses of all types (injuries, illnesses, process loss, property damage).


  • Carry out assigned projects as part of a team.


  • Demonstrate the ability to fully develop the skills and traits required for continued growth and development. 


  • Conduct all communications and transactions with utmost integrity and honesty. 


  • Document knowledge and report research and development work as required. 


  • Contribute to an environment in which all team members are respected. 


  • Strong oral and written communication skills are imperative. 


  • Understanding of basic statistics and computer usage experience is desirable.


  • Ability to create / present final presentation on key learnings during Co-op / Internship experience.


The anticipated pay rate for this job is $21.50/hour. Individual pay levels will be based on multiple factors including, but are not limited to, location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
