Position Summary:

The Data Center Lead - Nutanix is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the data center environment. Based in Washington, DC, this role involves ensuring the effective deployment, monitoring, and optimization of data center services and infrastructure. The Data Center Lead will work closely with the United States Mint to review and enhance data center services, manage software deployments, and handle both planned and emergency events. This role requires a blend of technical expertise in data center operations, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with organizational procedures. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Review the US Mint developed functional and technical requirements for new Data Center Services projects and make recommendations for improvements
• Communicate with appropriate personnel to ensure a smooth promotion of approved software into production, in accordance with United States Mint procedures
• Collaborate with additional resources, as needed, during planned and unplanned critical events
• Coordinate and make environment documentation (i.e., network configuration, and inventory of software to be supported) available to the United States Mint
• Maintain and provide Management Dashboard and audit information for Service-Level Objectives and Service-Level Requirements in a near-real-time, web-accessible, and query-able format
• Monitor and optimize bandwidth and network, ensure capacity exists and is immediately provided to support spikes in traffic
• Provide user Access and Account Configuration on the managed hosts and applications
• Provide vLAN Network Configuration
• Provide secure VPN connection for Admin Access
• Manage VM/Storage Provisioning/Cloning

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree Info Systems/Relevant Field - Preferred.
• 15 years of relevant field experience.

• ITIL 4+ Foundation Certification and MCA Microsoft Azure Admin
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
• Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation
• Red Hat Certified Specialist in Satellite Administration: Within 6 months of onboarding
• Practical skills, experience and training leading the design, configuration, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, of data center hardware and software including but not limited to: Linux Red hat, patching, satellite, and ansible system
• Providing key support for DR Exercise and FISMA Audit
