Principal AccountabilitiesAdministrationSupports administration, coordination and application of company-wide human resources policies, procedures and practices to ensure complianceAct as a liaison between HR and employees, ensuring smooth and timely communication and prompt resolution of requests and questionsPost required labor law information and company communications as neededPerforms general clerical duties including but not limited to filing, photocopying, faxing and mailingDemonstrates a high level of professionalism, ethical judgement and confidentiality in dealing with sensitive and protected issues and informationAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and a proponent for changeMaintains and orders supplies for the HR department as neededResponds to employee's benefit questions, assists with resolution of problems regarding access to or payment of benefitsAssists employees with paperwork related to filing medical claims and processes enrollment forms and change requests, retirement plans, workers' compensation and unemploymentAssists with communication of benefit programs, changes and updatesSupport Open Enrollment and other Benefit related programs as neededRecruitmentAssist with whole recruitment lifecycle, including onboarding new hires and candidate sourcingFacilitates the hiring process including interviewing, coordinating orientation, collaborating with department managers on new hire schedules and trainingAssist in new hire process by coordinating various new hire Onboarding activitiesTraining and DevelopmentAssist and coordinates training activities as requiredAssist with Modus Advanced Safety Program activities as requiredAssist with development of Modus Advanced Playbooks as requiredEmployee EngagementEnsure HR department is organized and runs smoothly to attract, hire and retain our employeesSupport administration of Employee Recognition ProgramAssists and coordinates event planning as neededHRIS and Payroll Processes and submits payroll informationTroubleshoots payroll issues and timecards; distributes paychecksPerforms payroll related functions including but not limited to process new hires, terminations, status changes, tax changes, wage garnishments and deductionsEnsure timely and accurate entries to the HRIS databasePrepares manual checks as necessaryOversees maintenance of payroll records and files including but not limited to sick time, vacation and other accrued leaveResponds to routine inquiries concerning payroll deductions and accruals, wage garnishments, child support payments and employment verificationsPrepares reports as neededAssists with the development and implementation of payroll practices, policies and proceduresAssists with related special projects as requiredAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
