Position: Shipping Operator Reports to: Distribution Manager
Shift: 12-hour rotating swing shift 7:00 a.m. -7:00 p.m. ET and 7:00 p.m.- 7:00 a.m. ET

What you'll be contributing:
Performs pre-shift inspections on equipment and workplace
Maintains equipment for proper operation, cleans filters, lubricates blowers and compressors, grease valves, checks blow downs, and bag houses, cleans scales
Maintain housekeeping procedures in load out
Learns and assisted with bagging operations
Count, weigh and record the number of units of materials moved
Follow plant safety policies
Must be able to work any shift as per marketing requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
To succeed in this position, you will need:
High School Diploma, or equivalent
Ability to perform tasks that include walking, climbing equipment, working within confined spaces, and lifting up to 100 lbs
Working knowledge of PC operations and software
Ability to read, write and understand English proficiently
Must be able to work on any of the various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, if necessary
Experience in a manufacturing-based environment

While performing the duties of this position, the following physical attributes include, but are not limited to climbing, walking, standing, bending, working at extreme heights; frequent lifting, and/or moving up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
What to expect in a cement environment:
Work to be performed in a shop environment as well as outdoor exposure throughout the plant. Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise requires compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures. Exposure to high elevations of up to 250 feet in height. Exposure to all weather conditions. Normal operation of mobile equipment may result in jarring and vibratory exposure.
