Job Title: Lead Analyst - Collection Finance

Reports to: Manager - Revenue Recovery


Department/Organization: CUC Collections


Location: NY - Kirkwood - JACC


The base salary range for this position is $ 73,256 to $95,233 depending on experience.


Responsibilities
• Manages Avangrid collection financials and reporting related to Uncollectible ($65M), Reserve Provisioning, Accounts Receivables ($567M), Low-Income Program Reporting, Collection Agency Performance, and Collection KPIs.
• Conducts/leads forecasting, budgeting, and variance reporting for Avangrid Uncollectibles and bad debt reserves.
• Owns relationship of collection financials with Avangrid Control, Accounting, and Risk Departments.
• Responsible for reporting, feedback, and proposed actions for field collections and collection call centers. Works closely with field and call center organizations to achieve collections targets.
• Responsible for analyzing collection data to make recommendations to Manager-Revenue Recovery on corrective actions and collection strategy
• Prepares analyses and presentations for the Customer Senior Leadership team
• Provides guidance/direction to collection analyst reporting
• Ensure accurate and consistent reporting across Avangrid collection organization


Skills and Requirements
Education & Experience Required:


• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Economics correlated field with a minimum 4 years of relevant experience in utility credit & collections or accounting/finances; associate degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or significant experience in this
field for over 8 years.


Skills/Abilities:


• The position requires strong analytical skills coupled with collection knowledge
• Ability to work well with multiple groups including regulatory agencies, accounting, control, global peers, vendors, process owners, and the IT SAP Support Group.
• Strong problem-solving, prioritization, organizational, and project management skills
• Knowledge of customer billing, accounting, and collections processes.
• Ability to balance the administration of budgets, and performance management goals and objectives.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint experience
• Change management skills and the ability to lead effectively in different work environments, geographies, and demographics
