Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

A Kforce client is looking to hire a Principal Estimator. This is with a robust national Construction Company that supports a variety of government and federal development projects. The role is based fully on-site in Marlborough, MA.

Summary:
The Principal Estimator will lead and support capital construction projects, including leading project estimators, reviewing proposals, and securing vendors and subcontractors.

Additional job functions include:

• Managing Request for Proposals (RFP's) - including reviewing for accuracy, identifying potential pre-construction issues, and ensuring compliance


• As a Principal Estimator, you will review and analyze subcontractor bids with estimators, prepare projects with all solicitation information, and distribute preliminary design information


• Partner with Project owners with providing guidance, budget breakdowns, and oversight of work assignments


• Prepare price proposals, obtain bonds, and ensure development of awarded projects

REQUIREMENTS:

• 10-15 years of Estimating experience in the Construction industry


• Understanding Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)


• Proficient with Estimating ERP systems (preferably Sage/Timberline Estimating)


• Ability to lead RFP's and analyze proposals


• Ability to identify and troubleshoot potential pre-construction issues and provide project guidance


• Ability to work on multiple projects and strong communication skills to support various project owners

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
