Kforce's client, an iconic Long Island (NY) based manufacturer, seeks a Controller. In this role, the Controller will plan and direct all accounting functions, including General Ledger, Financial Reporting, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable and reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
Direct the Accounts Receivable function, including establishing credit terms and monitoring collections as well as international credit
Manage Accounts Payable, including authorization of vendors and payments
Review and monitor sales and inventory; Work with related departments to analyze and report inventory, cost of sales and gross margin
Forecast cash flow
Oversee banking relationships and cash requirements; Manage company financing, collateral and bank covenants
Manage financial budgets, rolling forecasts, projections and operating statement as well as assist departments with coordination of monthly and annual budgets
Develop business metrics, KPI's and internal reporting for Senior Management
Manage gross margin analysis and inventory costing applications
Oversee international financial operations
Responsible for audits and reviews with outside accountants, bank field examiners and internal staff
Manage and develop financial and tax strategies to comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings, including corporate, income and sales related tax
Create and maintain accounting policies and procedures
Supervise client and vendor contract acquisitions and negotiations
Report risk issues to company; Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations
Evaluate financial and related systems for proper controls and accurate reporting, including recommendations for improvements
REQUIREMENTS:
10+ years of proven, relevant experience
Proficient with financial and reporting systems
Solid interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to partner with the executive team
Excellent analytical and reasoning skills
Ability to work under pressure on tight deadlines in a demanding environment
Public/Private experience preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
