Purpose of the Position

Provides analysis, reporting and insights for short- and long-term production planning, capacity planning and logistics for a business unit operation as part of our enterprise Sales & Operations Planning Process. Requires the technical skills/abilities to learn and operate Oracle's Cloud Fusion Enterprise Requirement Planning (ERP) toolset. To include the creation and ongoing maintenance of the planning configuration required to generate a feasible production plan weekly that drives a solution-oriented mindset within our Sales & Operations Execution(S&OE) weekly responsibilities.

Essential Position Responsibilities - This is a Salary Exempt position.

Production Planning: Develops a deep understanding of the operations, production assets, product attributes and the strategic intent of the business unit in which they support. Configures ERP tools to reflect that understanding to publish a high-quality Master Production Schedule (MPS) weekly. Partners closely with Demand Planning and Production Scheduling to enable turning exceptions/analytics into insights to bring solutions to the table that drive business performance as part of our S&OE and S&OP processes.

Supply Review: Supports the monthly S&OP process by providing recommended solutions that drive decision-making that delivers results across key KPI's for the business. Requires presenting complex scenarios to cross functional partners in a concise manor that fits the audiences time availability and their level of familiarity with production requirement planning.

Inventory Management: Provides exception reporting and insights to support the supply team in delivery of an optimized inventory plan for finished goods based on the forecasted demand, inventory target and service level expectations over the full planning horizon.

Participates as a member of the Team. Participates in the ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members. Attends appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues; e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.

Simmons Operating systems principles and objectives: Is familiar with Simmons' established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies, LEAN); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position's role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.

Physical Activities: Enters and locates information on a computer. Visually verifies information, often in small print. Move about in a manufacturing environment, office environment, and surrounding property.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): As needed by facility

Travel: May travel within North America to and from multiple facilities or work-sites, requiring overnight stays.

Technical Experience: 3 years' experience in data analytics and supply chain/logistics or related field. Proven ability to utilize a business intelligence software to analyze and present data to drive business decisions.

Industry Experience: Preference for pet or people food processing organization.

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field or 4 years' equivalent experience
