Job Description:

This position is hybrid, onsite 3-4 days within the week.

The Inventory Manager is responsible for managing the donated goods and purchased goods for resale distribution plans. The Inventory Manager can problem solve and implement solutions to execute the initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:

Implements strategy for retail donated and purchased goods for resale, secondary markets operation, product/donation acquisition and inventory. Oversees daily operations, direct staff and ensures implementation of departmental policies, procedures, and programs. Maintains retail donated and purchased goods operating budget and manages expenses. Communicates budgetary performance. Typically works on projects and initiatives that span 1- 2 years and focuses on the creation of systems, processes and programs.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

1. Leading and Developing Talent: Manages departmental structure, development and training of staff. Actively networks and sources for positions within the team.

2. Project and Change Management: Plans and manages projects of low to moderate complexity related to departmental function. Manages change with direct reports and participates in the leadership coalition that supports the change.

3. Community Engagement: Understands social trends driving Goodwill's community engagement initiatives, and champions initiatives.

4. Manages donation acquisition and the equitable distribution of donated goods and monitors progress throughout the year, anticipating issues and proactively taking action.

5. Identifies and analyzes industry trends and demographics to ensure policies, practices and programs are consistent with current and future organizational needs.

6. Manages the donated goods and purchased goods for resale distribution plans. Can problem solve and implement solutions to execute the initiative.

7. Research, compile and analyze complex data; present information in a clear, concise method (written, verbal and/or automated).

8. Responsible for coordinating sale of after-market retail products, ensuring the best pricing for Goodwill while moving product out of warehouses quickly.

9. Oversees the purchased goods for resale (PGFR) fiscal inventory preparation and reporting.

10. Responsible for completing other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Associates Degree or experience equivalency, and a minimum of 3 years' managerial experience or 7 years' experience.

2. Relevant experience in retail, sales or marketing.

3. Work a flexible and varied schedule, including nights and weekends as required, with onsite presence three to four days per week.

4. Ability to travel to various Goodwill locations and vendor offices.
