Position Description:

Summary: The Class A CDL/Semi Driver hauls construction material and equipment used in the construction process to and from various projects, both interstate and intrastate of Florida.

•Loads and unloads various types of heavy equipment using various trucks and trailers

•Hauls structural steel among other building materials

•Operates in compliance with FMCSA safety standards

•Hauls permitted loads

•Performs routine inspections on trucks and trailers

•Adheres to the company’s safety policies to create a safe work environment

•Performs other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

•High School Diploma or GED preferred

•Sufficient education or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics to perform duties of the role

•Minimum of 5 years CDL experience

•Heavy equipment experience preferred

•Must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean

•Must maintain Class A CDL and medical card

•Excellent communication skills

•Must possess good time management skills

•Must be self-motivated

•Ability to work in a team environment

•Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency

•Must have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written or verbal instructions

•Must be able to work different hours plus overtime as needed

•Must have clean MVR driving record for 3 years minimum
