Job Description:

$18.50 - $20 / hour

Reporting to the Transportation Manager, this is a 50/50 role of Warehouse Worker and Driver I position of:

·        Warehouse Worker: Responsible for the day to day warehouse activities, such as pulling and receiving stock inventory by using a hand-held scanner to provide record storage services to new and existing customers.  This is an entry level warehouse position where it is important to have the ability to use the scanner to track boxes within the required productivity metrics (15-20 per hour), and conduct necessary audits (O&E Audit Report).

·        Driver:  Drives, loads, unloads and picks up boxes and other items during the course of the day utilizing a scanner. This is an entry level position that will act as a helper to the Drivers 2, 3 or 4 to learn the foundation of the position. This position will learn routes, processes and procedures, and conduct rush deliveries, and begin to learn basic routes using a company cargo van, which requires a Class C Driver’s License. In addition, this position stacks, pulls, and pushes boxes, equipment and cartons to and from trucks, offices and warehouses, as requested by the customer. Overall, the Driver is responsible to provide quality pickup and delivery services for record storage, media, Boxbee, Corostuff and/or shredding.  The Driver assists the process by communicating with supervisors, the end users/customer and other crew members; and assists with processing paperwork.

This position is the face of the customer as they are responsible to follow best practices and to maintain excellent customer service.  Report/escalate any customer service related issues to the Transportation Manager.  In addition, this position will use extreme care not to lose, misplace, or damage goods or facilities while adhering to all company processes and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Warehouse duties:

·        Pull and stock customer’s boxes or items utilizing a scanner for tracking:

o   Pulling for next day deliveries and same day rushes

o   Pulling for on-site client access

o   Pulling perm-outs

o   Pulling destroys

·        Pull destroys, palletize and scan to pre destroy placard.

·        Prepping shred orders utilizing the bin tipper.

·        Receiving incoming boxes from customers and restock utilizing a scanner.

·        Restock incoming boxes (from driver) from the staging area to the rack.

·        Process work orders utilizing O’Neil computer system (picking and receiving boxes for the staging area), including rush deliveries.

·        Perform mandated daily safety and maintenance checks on shredding equipment, inclusive of electric pallet jacks, bins and consoles.

·        Supports office staff to process required paperwork.

·        May assist driver as a helper for a large off-site job.

Driver duties:

·        Checks daily work orders/work tickets for delivery and pickup times.

·        Routes work orders/work tickets for optimum delivery performance and enter stops sequence into route planning program.

·        Obtains daily work assignments from dispatch or supervisor and works assignment until completed.

·        Performs rush deliveries per customer request.

·        Sets, offsets, pushes, pulls, lifts, carries and moves equipment and boxes as required.

·        Properly loads and unloads trucks to protect boxes and goods.

·        Preforms pre/post inspections prior to dispatch and upon arrival to facility.

·        Completes assigned paperwork accurately and neatly and turns into manager or dispatch daily.

·        Must wear a company approved uniform every day.

·        Ensure all scans for pick-up and delivery are 100% accurate and provides chain of custody to customer.

·        All other duties as assigned.

Customer Relations:

·        Maintain excellent customer service with the customers, transportation and warehouse teams to establish solid relationships.

·        Must be punctual at all times. If an emergency arises, inform the supervisor or Transportation Manager immediately, so that appropriate coverage can be arranged.

·        Must follow all confidentiality rules regarding any products or services that are visible at a customer’s site.

·        Must be courteous, helpful, and professional to all existing and potential customers.

·        Ability to provide top notch customer services to internal and external customers.

·        Ability to work effectively in a team environment as a positive team player.

Safety:

·        Performs work with quality, efficiency and safety at all times.

·        Must abide by all safety rules; to include proper safety gear (back braces, safety glasses, safety shoes, hard hats, masks and/or gloves, etc. as required by the customer or by law), and operate pallet jack safely.

·        Report any unsafe dangerous requests from customers to senior management.

Training:

·        Promote Corodata’s Mission and Vision Statements.

·        Continuously promotes compliance with company policies and procedures.

Other duties:

·        Arrives to work on time in complete uniform every day.

·        Obtains daily work assignments from supervisor and prioritize routes.

·        Completes timesheets daily signifying your start, meal periods and end time daily, and other documentation is completed accurately and turned in by the time requirement.

c.      Must be familiar with various equipment and proper usage such as Class C bobtail trucks, vans, dollies, carts, straps, electric pallet jacks, ramps, lift gates, and all specialty equipment including but not limited to roll-a-lifts, Genie lifts, safe jacks, J bars, etc.

d.     Ability to handle and safeguard sensitive and confidential information required. 

e.     Must be able to read and correctly interpret current warehouse and transportation work orders.

f.       Must have basic knowledge and understanding of company concepts, practices, and procedures and an understanding of safety and security protocols.

g.     Must be able to use good judgement to complete work assignments.

h.     Use of proper lifting techniques required.

i.       Use of proper safety equipment required.

j.       Must complete Driver I Corodata training and pass the written tests.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Qualifications:

1.     High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required; or equivalent experience.

2.     One (1) year experience in a similar warehouse facility.

3.     Valid California driver’s license is required, with a driving record that meets the qualifications of our insurance carrier.

4.     Minimum age 21 to qualify for company auto insurance.

5.     Must be comfortable working with current COVID-19 safety protocol requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

6.     One to two (1-2) years’ driver experience in a warehouse environment.

7.     Two to three (2-3) years’ experience in warehouse environment.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

This position requires the employee to obtain and maintain NAID certification, which includes a clear background screening per NAID requirements. In addition, some customers require that our employees have Global security clearances, which may be required for this position. This position also requires employees to maintain a clean driving record that meets the standards of our insurance carrier, in order to be able to drive on behalf of the Company.

In addition, the Driver Eligibility Standards apply to all Corodata Corporation Warehouse and Driver employees, as well as specialty qualifications for passenger vans and golf carts. All company Drivers must have a current and valid California issued driver’s license and must be registered in the Pull Notice Program. The Pull Notice Program is a registration requirement with the California Highway Patrol (CHP). All Drivers are required and it is mandatory to have a valid and current California issued driver’s license and be registered in the CAL DATA program for random drug testing.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Individuals are required to be able to sit or stand for long periods as needed throughout the day. 

1.     Walking:  Requires walking primarily on a level surface, but may include walking on uneven or inclined surfaces for lengthy periods throughout the day, often up and down stairs.

2.     Handling: Seizes, helps or works with hands.

3.     Lifting: Proper lifting techniques required. May include lifting up to 75 pounds, and pushing or pulling up to 150 pounds throughout the day.

5.     Standing: Remains in standing position if required to perform various functions of the job.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

1.     This is a full-time, regular position.  Variable hours, days primarily Monday through Friday.

2.     Employees might be required to work late evenings or weekends depending on the business needs.

3.     All Overtime must be approved by manager before working.
