The Krusteaz Company is looking for a Project Engineer to join our team! The Corporate Project Engineer is responsible for the support of corporate led large capital projects, project engineering efforts in support of process improvement and process development activities. Works collaboratively with the plant engineering resources for the management of major expansion and modifications of manufacturing process equipment. Required to support internal and external resources including engineering, mechanical, electrical, and general contractor companies, as necessary to complete project work. This role will be located full-time at Effingham Plant.
Essential Functions: Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time.
Proactively and collaboratively works with plant engineering resources and plant personnel to support manufacturing related projects related to productivity gain, safety, cost savings, growth, and acquisition.
Assists with the development of detailed scopes of work for planning and bid purposes.
Assists with the development and execution of contractor/supplier contracts and bid meetings.
Assists with the development and management of Capital Appropriation Requests and Capital spend tracking.
Leads, facilitates, and coordinates cross-functional teams through the project process.
Provides on-site construction and contractor management during project execution.
Supplements plant engineering resources when necessary.
Participates in sourcing new technology and equipment to increase manufacturing productivity.
Provides training, training materials, and support to appropriate plant personnel on new technology and equipment.
Writes clear technical specifications for equipment purchase and installation specifications.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project as well as AutoCAD.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time and work a flexible work schedule.
Education and/or Experience:
B.S in Engineering, technical degree, or equivalent experience/training.
3-5 years progressive work experience demonstration of strong project engineering abilities.
Experience with cross functional teams.
Consumer Products manufacturing experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone along with reaching. Specific vision abilities include close vision requirements due to computer work. Moderate noise, ability to work in a confined area, and ability to sit at a computer for an extended period of time are also included. Ability to effectively communicate and work in a dynamic environment.
